Examen

Perhaps I am stranger than I think.

Perhaps I am even afraid of my strength, and turn it against myself, thus making myself weak.

Making myself secure. Making myself guilty.

Perhaps I am most afraid of the strength of God in me.

Perhaps I would rather be guilty and weak in myself, than strong in Him, whom I cannot understand.

Walking in Awareness

I start to walk very deliberately and slowly. As I place my feet on the ground, I try to be aware that I am blessed by it and in turn I bless it.

I tried to stop thinking and instead simply to be.

I tried to let go, let everything drop away so that I can be totally present to whatever may reach me through my senses.
